I read that the US Senate Banking Committee is working closely with SEC Chair Paul Atkins on a crypto market structure bill, it didn’t feel like just another policy update to me. It felt like one of those moments where things slowly start getting serious behind the scenes. The idea of the US trying to position itself as the global crypto capital sounds big, but also kind of expected now. Crypto has grown too large to ignore. I find myself thinking about how much the space has changed, from something people doubted to something governments are now trying to shape and lead in their own way.
