U.S. Energy Secretary Wright has announced a significant change in the management of Venezuelan oil revenues. According to Jin10, Wright stated that the funds from Venezuelan oil sales will no longer be deposited into an account in Qatar. Previously, the account in Qatar was under U.S. government control, with funds initially transferred there before being redirected to Venezuela. Wright revealed that a new account has been established within the U.S. Treasury, ensuring that the money will no longer flow to Qatar.
Wright also highlighted that the sales revenue from Venezuelan oil has already surpassed $1 billion. He mentioned that the U.S. has reached a short-term agreement with Venezuela to sell an additional $5 billion worth of crude oil in the coming months. So far, these oil shipments have been directed to refineries in the United States and Europe.
