The index measures the comparative price performance of the top 100 cryptocurrencies, excluding stablecoins and wrapped coins, over the past 90 days against Bitcoin. An altcoin season is identified when 75% of these coins outperform Bitcoin, with a higher score closer to 100 indicating stronger altcoin dominance.
