Vietnam Moves to Rebuild Global Trust After EU Tax Watchlist Inclusion
Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed new steps aimed at strengthening financial transparency, following the country’s recent placement on the European Union’s list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions.
As reported by Jin10, authorities are rolling out a nationwide reform strategy designed to align Vietnam’s tax governance with guidance from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The initiative also focuses on deepening collaborative tax arrangements with international counterparts, including the European Union.
These measures are intended to directly respond to the EU’s stated concerns, while also improving Vietnam’s engagement in cross-border tax frameworks and reinforcing its position within the global financial compliance landscape.
