#fogo is now fully focused on Pure Firedancer and that means no more mixed systems or halfway solutions. It wants the fastest path by default. Firedancer is a high performance validator client created by Jump and in the Solana ecosystem people often talk about a hybrid stage called Frankendancer. But Fogo is clearly aiming for a fully pure Firedancer setup so the network feels smooth and natural. The goal is simple lower latency and stronger throughput without forcing it.
When people say highest performance mode it is not a button you press once. It comes from building everything around speed from the start. Fogo talks about using a custom Firedancer based core with very fast block times aiming for under 40 milliseconds. The idea is to create a trading first experience where the chain feels closer to an exchange instead of a slow platform.
