The Bank of England has proposed new rules to regulate âsystemicâ stablecoins â those widely used for payments in the UK.
đ· Individuals could be limited to ÂŁ10,000âÂŁ20,000 in holdings.
đą Businesses could hold up to ÂŁ10 million.
đ These limits would be temporary, aimed at reducing financial risks as the market evolves.
đ The proposal is not yet final â itâs part of a public consultation open until 2026.
