🔐 Day 8 — What Is a Crypto Wallet?

We finished Week 1 basics.

Now Week 2 begins: Wallets & Security.

Today: Crypto Wallets — where your crypto actually lives.

💡 What Is a Crypto Wallet?

A crypto wallet is a tool that lets you:

✔ Store your crypto

✔ Send & receive crypto

✔ Control your private keys

Important:

A wallet doesn’t hold coins — it stores the keys to access them on the blockchain.

🟩 Two Main Types

1ïžâƒŁ Custodial Wallet (CEX Wallet)

Provided by exchanges (Binance, Coinbase)

Easy to use

Platform holds your keys

Good for beginners

But: Not fully in your control.

2ïžâƒŁ Non-Custodial Wallet (Private Wallet)

You hold the seed phrase

Full control, full responsibility

Examples: Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Ledger

If you lose your keys — funds are gone.

🟹 Quick Summary

Custodial = Easy, but not fully yours

Non-custodial = Freedom + responsibility

❓ Your Turn:
