Li Dong, a cybersecurity engineer, is accused of exploiting a vulnerability to steal personal data of 1.84 million Chinese citizens and over 35.5 million yuan in agent commissions from the gambling site Kaiyun Sports. Police in two Chinese regions seized a total of 183 Bitcoins valued at nearly 90 million yuan linked to the theft. The case is under trial with Li Dong pleading not guilty, and further court hearings are scheduled.
