Vitalik Buterin has proposed integrating native Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) into Ethereum's staking protocol to increase decentralization and reduce single points of failure. The proposal enables validators to use multiple keys under one identity through threshold signing. This idea is currently under community discussion.
