Walrus WAL is solving a real storage problem that most people ignore Instead of forcing users to rewrite and resend data every time storage needs to be renewed Walrus created a separate renewal flow for existing blobs If the data is already stored and proven available users can simply extend the storage time This avoids re encoding and redistribution saving bandwidth reducing costs and lowering pressure on storage nodes By separating renewal from first time storage Walrus makes long lived data practical affordable and efficient especially for apps that need data to stay online without waste.
