#Dusk $DUSK @Dusk
Dusk is a layer 1 blockchain founded in 2018 and built for regulated, privacy focused finance. The mission is simple: let institutions issue and move real world assets and run compliant DeFi without exposing sensitive data, while still keeping auditability by design.
Core design: DuskDS is the settlement layer with fast finality under proof of stake using Succinct Attestation. Transactions can be public or shielded through two models, Moonlight for transparent flows and Phoenix for confidential note based transfers and contracts.
For tokenized securities, Dusk introduces XSC, the Confidential Security Contract standard, powered by Zedger, a hybrid model designed for security tokens and compliance rules.
Builders get modern tooling through WASM smart contracts and an EVM environment built on the OP Stack. The DUSK token secures the network via staking and pays fees and deployment costs. Mainnet is live since January 7, 2025.
Why people are talking: the RWA and compliant onchain settlement narrative is heating up, and Dusk keeps showing up with real infrastructure moves like interoperability and market data integrations.
My take: I see a focused chain, not a generic privacy play. If adoption lands, this can become a serious regulated settlement rail.
