TradFi Perpetual Contracts (often referred to as TradeFi perps) are a new product line launched by Binance in early January 2026. They allow you to trade traditional financial assets—like Gold and Silver—using the same interface and mechanics as cryptocurrency perpetual futures.
Essentially, they bridge the gap between "Traditional Finance" (TradFi) and the crypto world.
Key Features of TradFi Perpetuals
Traditional Assets, Crypto Rails: You can trade assets like Gold (XAU) and Silver (XAG) using USDT as collateral and settlement currency.
24/7 Trading: Unlike traditional stock or commodity markets that close on weekends and nights, Binance's TradFi perps are available for trading 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
**No Expiry Date: Similar to BTC perpetuals, these contracts do not have an expiration date. You can hold your position as long as you have enough margin.
High Leverage: These contracts offer significant leverage (e.g., up to 75x for Gold and 20x for Silver), allowing for high capital efficiency.
Funding Rates: To keep the contract price aligned with the actual market price of the asset, a funding rate mechanism is used (where longs pay shorts or vice versa).
