Dusk Network is a Layer-1 blockchain, which is designed to support regulated finance, and whose privacy, compliance and practical use should exist together. Contrary to public blockchains which impose full disclosure, Dusk proposes privacy-by-design where selective disclosure is supported so that a transaction can stay secret, but it is also disclosable when needed by the regulation. This compromise makes Dusk applicable to the institutions that cannot run on open ledger.
Having developed more than seven years of privacy technology, Dusk allows the transfer of values in a secure manner, compliant DeFi, and tokens of real-world objects. DuskEVM, which provides the ability to develop Ethereum-compatible smart contracts using familiarized tooling, builds on this vision, enjoying protocol level privacy and regulation compatibility.
Dusk is already having live financial infrastructure. Dusk regulates securities and funds to be on-chain through collaboration with licensed institutions like NPEX, a Dutch exchange with greater than EUR300M assets under management. Dusk Trade is yet another product that shows that blockchain can be used to execute actual financial markets, and not speculation.
Indeed, making its own developments centrally focused on trust, legality, and usability, Dusk Network is demonstrating that it is infrastructure structures people can depend on rather than hype cycles to make long-term blockchain adoption.
