#India has increased the Securities Transaction Tax (STT) on futures and options trading, effective April 1, 2026.
The new rates are:-
Futures: 0.05% (up from 0.02%)
Options Premium: 0.15% (up from 0.1%) $POL
Options Exercise: 0.15% (up from 0.125%)#STT
