Another major Bitcoin seizure has surfaced in China.

A man from Shenzhen, Li Dong, who reportedly held hundreds of #BTC , became the target of police in two different provinces. Authorities in Hunan and Henan detained him under the charge of “operating an illegal casino” and confiscated his Bitcoin.

Hunan police seized 100+ BTC (worth over 40 million yuan)

Henan police seized 80 BTC (also worth 40+ million yuan)

Here’s the twist:

Li Dong was not ultimately found guilty of running a casino.

Instead, prosecutors later changed the charges to theft and infringement of personal information. The case went to trial in January 2026, but the court postponed a final judgment, announcing another hearing later.

In short:

The same person, the same batch of Bitcoin, seized twice by authorities in different regions totaling 180+ BTC, worth 80+ million yuan.

Takeaway:

In today’s environment, holding large amounts of crypto openly can attract unwanted attention.

Sometimes, staying low-profile is the smartest strategy.
