Thoughts on ROAM's Current Layout

I've been tracking Roam for quite a while, and the recent market conditions aren't great. Is $ROAM worth investing in?

To be honest, it depends on how you play it. After carefully considering the mechanism, I think it's possible to pick up some bargains in batches right now.

1. First, let's talk about short-term arbitrage. Roam's reverse burning mechanism is quite interesting; you convert tokens into points and then burn the points to get more tokens back. Sounds like 'infinite money printing', right?

But in reality, 97% of the tokens will be permanently destroyed, and the rest are locked in the ecosystem for development, not flowing into the market.

The conversion efficiency of the sticker pool is much higher than that of ordinary pools, but stickers can only be accumulated through daily check-ins. Those without any stock can't play at all, which tightly controls the selling pressure.

2. In the long run, dual deflation is the real ace up the sleeve. Points that are burned are gone, and the total token supply is capped at 1 billion, with each round of burning accelerating deflation.

This gameplay of Roam is clearly more resilient to downturns. Moreover, the staking and locking rewards are substantial; locking can also leverage global traffic, which is a solid value support.

3. Now let's talk about the fundamentals. Roam is working on a decentralized wireless network, with 3 million users accessing the internet through their nodes. Recently, they’ve also tapped into the AI data layer, and providing data for AI training in the future could be a big business.

4. As for operations, my advice is not just to hoard tokens. Identify low conversion rate periods for burning pools, and separate staking into ordinary pools and miner pools. If you have the equipment, definitely choose the one with higher returns.

In summary, the Roam project belongs to the category of 'can attack and can defend'—short-term arbitrage can yield some gains, and long-term deflation can provide substantial benefits. When the wind comes, DePIN + AI might just catch a big wave.
