#AiXBTSecurityBreach

On March 18, 2025, the AiXBT platform, a well-known artificial intelligence agent in the cryptocurrency space, suffered a security breach that led to the theft of 55.50 Ethereum, equivalent to about $104,000. The attacker was able to access the independent AiXBT system's control panel and scheduled malicious responses that resulted in transferring funds from the platform's Simulacrum wallet.

The developer known as rxbt confirmed that AiXBT's platforms were not affected, and the breach was not due to a flaw in the artificial intelligence itself, as there were preventive measures in place. In response, AiXBT moved the servers, changed the keys, and temporarily suspended access to the control panel for security enhancements, in addition to reporting the hacker's address to exchanges to prevent further incidents.

This breach led to a 15.5% drop in the value of the AiXBT token, which fell to $0.09 after the incident. This incident raised concerns about the security of AI-based systems in the cryptocurrency space, highlighting the need for stronger security measures to protect user assets and maintain trust in the ecosystem.
