An Italian cryptocurrency tycoon worth 3,000,000,

invited to the US by the 'King of Crypto' to go to New York.

Then he disappeared

24 days later, he was running barefoot in Manhattan, covered in blood:

-

On May 6, Italian cryptocurrency tycoon Michel Catulan flew to New York from his hometown.

Michel's trip was related to a cryptocurrency investor he previously knew, John Walz, who is known as the 'King of Crypto' in Kentucky, USA.

The two had previous business dealings, but due to a recent dispute, negotiations had failed, and Michel originally planned to return to Italy.

However, John persuaded him to go to New York again, claiming he wanted to resolve the issues.

-

That night, Michel stepped into John’s $30,000 a month townhouse after

the nightmare began.

According to Michel's description to the police, John and his accomplices confiscated his phone

laptop and passport on the spot and demanded he hand over his Bitcoin account password.

-

When he refused to cooperate, the kidnappers bound his wrists with wires, continuously applying electric shocks and beating him.

They even forcibly injected him with cocaine.

The kidnappers also dragged Michel to the top of the villa stairs, hanging him over the edge of the fifth floor,

threatening to let go if he did not reveal the key.

-

At 9:30 AM on May 24,

he seized the opportunity when the kidnappers were unprepared and escaped barefoot from the villa,

running to the street in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan to seek help from a traffic police officer.

-

The police quickly raided John's residence,

seizing cocaine, saws, bulletproof vests, night vision goggles, and a series of weapons.

They also discovered a Polaroid photo of Michel being held at gunpoint.

-

The specific assets of the suspect Walz are unclear.

It is said that he owns a private jet and a helicopter,

and has a farm worth over $860,000 in Kentucky, USA.
