DuskDS: Layer-1 Upgrade for Data and Settlement
In late 2025, the project activated DuskDS, a Layer-1 settlement system that improves how nodes access and validate data across the network. This makes the chain more reliable and efficient, especially as transaction volume and application complexity grow.
Preparing for DuskEVM:
One of the most exciting upgrades is DuskEVM, a module that brings Ethereum-style execution with full privacy capabilities. When launched, it will allow developers familiar with Ethereum tools to write contracts that compile with privacy primitives built in.
This modular architecture separating data, settlement, and execution gives Dusk both performance and flexibility. It’s a purposeful path toward broad developer adoption while preserving the core privacy value proposition.
