Fam quick check in on PLASMA XPL because the pace lately has been wild and I know a lot of you have been asking what is actually shipping versus just noise.
PLASMA pushed into its mainnet beta phase in late September 2025 and the whole positioning is super clear now. It wants to be a stablecoin native chain built for fast everyday payments, with a big headline feature being zero fee USDT transfers. That is not a small promise. The network also came online talking about billions in stablecoin liquidity from day one and a long list of DeFi apps ready to deploy, which shows they are aiming for usage immediately instead of a slow crawl.
On the infrastructure side, the chain is built around its own consensus design and validator participation is a core piece, with XPL used for gas, staking, and securing the network. Another interesting move was the announcement of Plasma One, basically a neobank style product that plans to use the chain as payment rails, which is a strong signal they are thinking beyond crypto natives.
