The prosecutors are conducting an internal investigation.The Gwangju Regional Prosecution Service discovered the loss during a routine check to see if there were any abnormalities in the seized financial assets. At that time, they were inspecting Bitcoin-related passwords stored on a USB drive. A prosecution official stated, "We learned that the incident occurred when checking the seized Bitcoin, and inadvertently accessed a so-called 'fake (fraud) website.'
