Full EMI License Granted by Luxembourg’s CSSF Bolsters Ripple’s Regulatory Presence and Accelerates Ripple Payments Expansion Across the European Union

Luxembourg — February 2, 2026 – Ripple, the global leader in enterprise blockchain solutions for traditional and digital finance, today announced that it has received final approval for its Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). Following the preliminary approval announced last month, Ripple has satisfied all remaining conditions, securing full authorization to operate as an EMI across the European Union.

“Obtaining our full EMI license in the EU is a pivotal milestone that solidifies Ripple’s position at the center of European finance,” said Cassie Craddock, Managing Director, UK & Europe at Ripple. “Europe has long been a strategic priority for us, and this authorization enables us to scale our mission of delivering robust, compliant blockchain infrastructure to clients throughout the EU. We are now better positioned than ever to support European businesses as they transition to a more efficient, digital-first financial landscape.”

The announcement comes amid rapid growth in Ripple’s global regulatory portfolio. Just last month, the company secured its EMI license and Cryptoasset Registration from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

With more than 75 regulatory licenses worldwide, Ripple stands as one of the most heavily regulated companies in the digital assets industry. Few peers match this level of oversight, giving Ripple a strong advantage to scale its digital asset solutions and help financial institutions move from legacy systems to modern blockchain-based infrastructure.
