š§ Your PnL isnāt your problem⦠your process latency is
Most traders donāt ālack a strategy.ā They lack speed between seeing and executing the right thing.
What I mean: ⢠You notice the setup ā ⢠Then you hesitate, overthink, chase, or enter late ā ⢠Now your stop has to be bigger, your RR gets worse, and the trade feels ārandomā
So hereās a simple fix Iāve been using:
The 10-second rule: When price hits your level, you should already know ONE of these 3 actions: 1. Enter on reclaim 2. Enter on rejection 3. No trade (if itās messy)
If youāre still ādecidingā in the moment⦠you didnāt actually have a plan.
My goal lately isnāt more trades. Itās fewer decisions. Decisions cost money.
If you want, comment āRULEā and Iāll drop the exact checklist I use before I press buy/sell.
š¦ Fed held rates⦠cool. Now hereās what actually matters
Fed kept rates the same. Not shocking.
The headline isnāt the trade ā the tone is. This kind of decision is basically: āWeāre not panicking. Weāre watching inflation + jobs. Donāt front-run cuts.ā
What that usually means for us: ⢠Whipsaw first, direction later. Market loves doing the fake move both ways, then picking a real trend once positioning settles. ⢠Volatility gets weird. Youāll see random spikes that have nothing to do with ātrendā and everything to do with liquidity. ⢠Plan > prediction: Iām trading key levels (session high/low, prior day levels) and waiting for a clean reclaim/reject before I size up.
If you got chopped today, itās normal. Fed days punish anyone who thinks they need to ābe early.ā
šØ Stop getting faked out at levels (quick trap filter)
If youāre always getting smoked on ābreakoutsā⦠youāre probably buying the exact candle they want you to buy.
Hereās the quick filter I use before I chase anything:
1) Did it sweep a level first? Like PDH/PDL, session high/low, range top/bottom. If it pokes it and instantly snaps back⦠thatās usually not ābullishā⦠thatās a bait.
2) Was there a volume pop but price went nowhere? Big volume + no follow through = someoneās absorbing / unloading into you.
3) Did it happen during dead hours? Low activity breakouts are sketchy. Real moves usually push and KEEP pushing.
How I play it: If it does a sweep + hard rejection, I wait for the retest and take the reversal. Stop goes past the wick. Target is the next obvious liquidity (next high/low).
Comment āTRAPā and Iāll post 2 chart examples (one that worked, one that didnāt) so you can see it clear.
Hey guys, if you were on our stream, it got auto stopped. not sure what we violated but will try and figure it out for tomorrow. Have a great day will see you tomorrow at 7 am PST!
