When I first entered crypto, I thought my life would change quickly. I saw people online talking about big profits, financial freedom, and early retirement. Everyone looked confident and #Successfull and I believed I could do the same with just a phone and internet.
But the truth was very different. Instead of making money, I lost it. I made mistakes that many beginners make, but nobody talks about honestly. These #Mistake cost me money, time, and peace of mind.
Today, I want to share them honestly so new people can avoid the same pain.
1. Buying Because of Hype and FOMO
My biggest mistake was buying just because everyone was talking about something.
Whenever I saw a project trending on social media or in group chats, I felt fear of missing out. I didn’t want to be late. So I bought without understanding anything.
I didn’t know what the project did, how it made money, or if it was even useful. I only saw people saying “this will go up” and believed them. Most of the time, I bought at the top and watched the price fall soon after.
I learned that hype is dangerous. Smart people buy quietly before hype, and beginners buy when it’s too late.
2. Greed and Never Taking Profit
When I finally saw my investment going up, I felt like a genius. I imagined huge profits and a rich future. I thought, “Why sell now? It will go much higher.”
I never took #PROFİT Not even a small part.
Then the market turned. Prices dropped fast. My profit disappeared, and soon I was in loss. That moment taught me a painful truth: profit is not real until you take it.
Now I understand that taking profit is not weakness. It is smart risk management.
3. Overtrading and Emotional Decisions
Another big mistake was trading too much. I watched charts all day, every day. Every small price move made me happy or scared. I kept buying and selling without a plan.
When price went up, I chased it.
When price went down, I panicked and sold.
My emotions controlled me. I paid fees, made wrong entries, and lost money slowly. I thought I was active and smart, but I was just gambling.
Sometimes the best strategy is simple: buy good projects, wait, and stay patient.
4. Blindly Trusting Influencers and Strangers
I believed every confident person on the internet. If someone had many followers and spoke with authority, I trusted them without thinking. I followed their calls, their predictions, and their promises.
Later, I realized many people only talk for their own benefit. Some already bought cheap and wanted others to buy higher. Some just wanted views and attention.
I learned that no one cares about your money more than you do. Doing your own research is the most important skill in crypto.
5. Investing Money I Couldn’t Afford to Lose
This was the worst mistake. I invested money that I actually needed in real life. When the market crashed, I couldn’t sleep. I kept checking prices every minute. Fear made me sell at the worst time.
Crypto is very volatile. If you invest important money, your emotions will destroy your strategy. I learned that only extra money should go into high-risk investments.
Peace of mind is more valuable than profit.
