Bithumb's $42 Billion "Fat-Finger" Crisis

In one of the largest operational errors in history, South Korean exchange Bithumb mistakenly credited customers with 620,000 BTC (worth ~$42 billion) instead of small loyalty rewards. While the exchange has recovered 99.7% of the funds, the South Korean FSS has launched a formal probe into their internal ledger systems, causing localized price dislocations.
