ETH staking numbers are getting debated right now ⚠️

Santiment claims 50.18% of ETH supply (around 80M ETH) is in the staking deposit contract first time crossing 50%.

But CoinShares says this is misleading ❌

Because the deposit contract only shows deposits and doesn’t subtract withdrawals.

So the “80M ETH” is basically accumulated deposit records, not the real active staked balance.

✅ CoinShares estimates active staking is closer to:

~37M ETH = ~30.8% of circulating supply

That’s why many analysts say ETH staking rate is around 30%, not 50%.
