The new firearms laws tighten ownership rules and create a government-funded buyback program to compensate people who must surrender guns đȘ, aiming to prevent similar attacks in the future. The proposed anti-hate speech legislation would allow groups not currently defined as terrorist organisations, such as Hizb ut-Tahrir, to be declared illegal and banned.
