A friend of mine recently lost access to his private wallet because he lost his phone and couldn't find his seed phrase.

It got me thinking about how many millions of dollars worth of crypto are lost each year because of something so simple.

I don't believe we'll see mass global adoption until crypto becomes easier & safer to use for everyday people. A lot of that comes down to the basics like being able to recover your assets in case you forget or misplace your private keys. We shouldn't have to face the doom of losing our entire net worth for something so normal and easy to do.

It's good to see some self-custody providers start to accommodate for such trivial yet potentially catastrophic situations. Like how @bronwallet has smart features like "Guardians", meaning that recovery within 48 hours is possible even without your seed phrase. You just need your assigned guardians to confirm it.

Feels like a lot is being done to make self-custody less scary.
