The Hidden Cost of “Composable Everything” in DeFi

Composability is celebrated like an unquestionable good. Plug anything into anything. Build endlessly. What rarely gets discussed is how risk stacks invisibly. One weak contract pulls on another. Liquidity shifts faster than assumptions. Failures cascade.

Dusk rejects this culture quietly. Its design limits what can connect and how. To many developers, that feels restrictive. From a financial systems view, it looks cautious. Not every system benefits from infinite interoperability. Especially when real money and legal obligations are involved. Sometimes separation is not inefficiency. It is containment. The industry may need to relearn that lesson the hard way.
