BlockBeats News, January 26th, on-chain detective ZachXBT disclosed how hacker John Daghita (aka Lick) stole over 40 million USD from a U.S. government-seized address (including a single largest transaction of 24.9 million USD). John's father owns CMDSS Corporation, which currently holds an active IT government contract in Virginia, assisting the U.S. Marshals Service in managing and disposing of lawfully seized crypto assets. ZachXBT speculated that John obtained access from his father and executed the theft of over 40 million USD from the U.S. government address around 2024, with the largest amount being 24.9 million USD seized from the Bitfinex hack in March 2024. Additionally, John's address has been linked to over 90 million USD of on-chain stolen funds (including non-U.S. government victims).Following ZachXBT's exposure, CMDSS Corporation's X account, website, and LinkedIn were all deactivated today.John Daghita's identity was exposed when he recently engaged in a flaunting competition with another hacker, Dritan Kapplani Jr., in a group chat, sharing his Exodus wallet and transferring funds to demonstrate his wealth. The entire process was recorded in two videos, and the flaunting wallet address was linked to the March 2024 theft of U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's on-chain seized assets.
