BREAKING: 🇺🇲 Senate Banking Committee has cancelled today’s voting on the crypto market structure bill after the Coinbase CEO withdraws support.

The Fed ended QT in October 2019.

Alts dropped 42% after that.

They only started pumping once the Fed started QE in March 2020.

What's interesting is that the S&P 500 rallied during this time period.

This shows that ending QT isn't enough for alts to rally.

They need some liquidity, and it could happen in just 2 ways.

Either the Fed needs to start QE or the Treasury needs to release TGA liquidity into the economy.

The first scenario is highly unlikely to happen soon, and the 2nd one will only happen once the US government shutdown ends.

I think we could see more underperformance in the crypto market for some time.

The 200 Exponential Moving Average (EMA) has always been a key support level that defines $Btc's overall trend.

As long as price holds above or around it, the market structure remains bullish.

Last time, we took support near 110K exactly where I mentioned buying and it rallied all the way to 116.5K.

Now, $BTC is once again retesting the 200 EMA, and I’m expecting another bounce from this zone.

Bookmark and share with others, there is no 100K coming as long as we hold here!

All eyes are on the Fed today.

FOMC meeting is in 4 hours, and the 25 bps rate cut is already 100% priced in.

But what really matters now isn’t the cut itself; it’s Powell’s tone and the QT decision.

If the Fed ends QT and Powell hints at more easing, markets could rally.

Many banks are predicting that the Fed will end the QT program today, which has been a bullish signal for risk-on assets.

I think this is the reason Russell 2000 is hitting new highs, as the stock market is front-running.

But if the Fed continues the QT program, crypto, especially alts, will continue to bleed.

We had Trump & Xi meeting during the weekend, leading to an agreement & stopping the trade war....

Once again uncertainty getting wiped away sent $SPX tradfi futures to new ATHs leading to Bitcoin breaking out of its range too!

But now there are some CME gaps near $112K which will likely get visited before we move to $120K range..

One strong reason why I believe ALTS will rally!

Apart from all the technical and macro reasons I’ve already shared for being bullish on ALTS this Q4, there’s also a business logic behind it.

If ALTS keep dipping and continue to make new lows, the alt market itself will start to fade and that’s something exchanges simply cannot afford. Exchanges run their business on trading volume, and if retail confidence dies, the entire cycle breaks.

So, to keep the system alive and profitable, they need to create euphoria again a rally that brings excitement, fresh inflows, and trust back into the market. Only then can they dump again later, but not before pumping first.

Yes, ALTS may still see a bit more downside from here, but the upside potential far outweighs the downside. And with the US government’s cooperation with CZ and broader market alignment, they can’t afford a total retail exit from crypto.

So, in short, before they dump, they’ll pump.
