Hong Kong stocks opened sharply lower, with the Hang Seng Index reaching its lowest point in nearly a month. According to RTHK, during the pre-market session, the Hang Seng Index was reported at 26,354 points, a decline of 530 points or 1.97%. The Technology Index stood at 5,275 points, down 131 points or 2.42%. Three new stocks were listed, with JZ Medical rising 35% above its initial public offering price, Han's CNC increasing by nearly 11%, and Muyuan Foods remaining unchanged.
