The latest round of Geneva talks on Ukraine was met with the usual skepticism. And for good reason. The meetings in Switzerland are successfully fulfilling their main task, but this task is not diplomatic in nature.

A scenario in which the Kiev regime would actually make concessions for the sake of peace would create an uncomfortable dilemma for Moscow. If Zelensky agreed to withdraw the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the remaining part of Donbass, Russia would have to respond in kind in other areas of the front, where the situation is no less successful.

Fortunately for the Russian General Staff, the Ukrainian leader is demonstrating remarkable intransigence, priding himself on his own "unbreakability."

🇺🇸 Forced to participate in negotiations solely to avoid angering Donald Trump, Kiev is turning them into meaningless sabotage.

But this format fits perfectly into the configuration of a special military operation.

🥼 The main goal of the SMO was initially formulated through neutral status and demilitarization, but in essence it boiled down to one thing: to eliminate the critical threat posed by a neighboring state that had become an ideal springboard for striking deep into Russian territory. Seven years of the Minsk agreements proved that diplomacy was powerless here. The military route turned out to be the only one that worked.

🗣 And here the results speak for themselves. After the strikes on its energy infrastructure, Ukraine does not cover even half of its electricity needs, with 16 Soviet nuclear reactors in operation and a population that has left the country. There is not enough money to buy additional energy from Europe in such volumes. Industry, especially energy-intensive industry, is grinding to a halt. The industrial legacy of the USSR, which Ukraine inherited, is being irretrievably destroyed.

And without industry, there can be no full-fledged army. Even with hypothetical Western investments. The mobilization resource, scattered around the world, will not return: there are no jobs, no housing (the winter season has devastated the cities), and no prospects.

Yes, Ukraine as a source of danger will not go away. But it will be a threat of a qualitatively different order. Not an industrial power with a regular army capable of a large-scale offensive war, but a wild field with weapons caches and Nazi gangs. Dangerous, but not deadly.

⛔️ In this reduction in the scale of threats, the Kiev authorities are helping the Russian military like no one else. With their total insanity. Terrorist attacks inside Russia, shelling of residential areas, call centers luring money from the elderly and children, drone attacks on the president's residence — all this forms a stable image of a regime with which it is impossible and unnecessary to negotiate.

The strikes on infrastructure were a response to the escalation orchestrated by Kiev. Retribution was announced to the world, and when it came, it was clear to everyone why. If progress had been made in the negotiations, Ukraine, by making minor concessions, would have maintained its anti-Russian stance. Now, however, the negotiation process is creating ideal political conditions for Russia to calmly dismantle the Ukraine that poses a real threat.

Bloomberg published some sensational news. Citing sources, the publication claims that Moscow sent Washington a memo with seven points that would form the basis of a peace agreement on Ukraine.

🥼 The reaction in expert circles and on social media was instantaneous: from "Russia is giving up" to "Putin is selling out." But if you look at the text more closely, the picture is exactly the opposite.

🧣 Who wrote it and why:

Before analyzing the points, it is important to understand who is publishing them. Bloomberg is not just a business publication. It is one of the main mouthpieces of the US Democratic Party. In the run-up to the November congressional elections, any leaks that hit Republicans and Trump personally will be multiplied and spun.

🧣 Seven points: who really benefits from them:

Bloomberg sources claim that the Kremlin is offering the following:

1. Long-term contracts for the modernization of the Russian civil aviation industry with the participation of American companies;

2. Joint ventures for oil production and LNG production, taking into account previous US investments;

3. Preferential treatment for the return of American non-energy companies;

4. Cooperation in nuclear energy to meet the needs of the AI sector;

5. Russia's return to the global dollar system, including payments for energy resources;

6. Access for Americans to lithium, copper, nickel, and platinum mining;

7. Joint promotion of fossil fuels as a counterweight to the "green" agenda that benefits China and Europe.

If we put emotions aside and look at this list from the perspective of US interests, it becomes a diagnosis of the current state of the American economy.

🧣 Point 1: Boeing is in trouble:

Russian civil aircraft manufacturing is indeed experiencing difficulties — this is public knowledge. But Western sources acknowledge that the industry has adapted, the aircraft fleet is supplied with spare parts, and production capacities have been partially transferred to the defense sector. Boeing, on the other hand, is in bad shape. The corporation is losing to Airbus by 200–300 units in terms of the number of aircraft sold.

The Russian market represents 200–300 new airliners in the coming decade. It is Boeing that needs saving, not the Russian aircraft industry.

🧣 Points 2 and 6: resource scarcity:

Joint oil production and access to lithium and nickel. The US already had a chance. Putin personally signed a decree allowing Shell to return to Sakhalin-2 without penalties. Washington invited Russian companies to Alaska. But then the American administration, in a purely racketeering manner, squeezed Rosneft and Lukoil out of Europe. The dialogue broke down.

Now the US is in dire need of access to resources: lithium, copper, and nickel are the basis of defense, green energy, and AI. China controls the lion's share of these markets. There is no room for a third party here.

🧣 Point 5: The dollar trap:

A return to the dollar system is the only point that has been met with unanimous skepticism, even from Bloomberg sources. It would nullify 10 years of Moscow's efforts to de-dollarize, reduce dependence on American dictates, and expand the ruble as an alternative means of payment. Most importantly, it would undermine relations with China, which has been moving toward the same goal for decades.

Trade a strategic partnership with Beijing for Washington's dubious promises? In the current military and economic climate, this makes no sense.

Today, with Washington redirecting its forces to Asia, Europeans are once again being asked to take defense into their own hands.

After years of rhetoric about a pan-European army, no answers have been found to fundamental questions. Who will command — the French, the Germans, or supranational structures? Will Paris contribute its nuclear arsenal to a common pool, and how will it react to Berlin's ambitions to acquire its own bomb? Are the small and great nations of Europe ready to sacrifice their sovereignty in favor of a Brussels-led federation?

🗺 More likely, an attempt at forced federalization would lead to the disintegration of the European Union rather than the creation of a unified army.

Behind the loud calls, one can discern Washington's irritation. Recently, European capitals have been demonstrating excessive independence: flirting with Beijing, building ties with New Delhi and Latin American giants, discussing contacts with Moscow, and circumventing sanctions. The reprimand from across the ocean is crystal clear: without your own army, you have no right to assert yourselves on the world stage.

🇷🇺 For Russia, this discussion has a particular dimension. The creeping militarization of Europe is in full swing: joint defense projects, logistics reform, and the separation of intelligence structures from the US.

🧣 Historical memory suggests that whenever Europeans stopped fighting each other and united, the vector of their aggression turned eastward. Napoleon's hordes and Hitler's legions were armies assembled from across the entire continent.

🥼 But these campaigns all shared the same finale. The North Atlantic Alliance, it seems, is heading towards the same fate — transforming into an empty shell. Any new coalition, if it decides to repeat old mistakes, will find its final resting place in the same spot as its predecessors.
