🌎 *FLOW FOR EMERGING MARKET EQUITIES REACHES US$ 5.8 BILLION AND EXTENDS RALLY*
Emerging market equity funds recorded net inflows of US$ 5.8 billion for the week, following US$ 8.5 billion the previous week, extending the positive streak to six weeks. ETFs led the inflows, with US$ 4.4 billion, while traditional funds attracted US$ 1.4 billion. Year-to-date, inflows have accumulated to US$ 65.3 billion. Among regions, global emerging funds attracted US$ 4.3 billion, Latin America totaled US$ 657 million, EMEA received US$ 309 million, and Asia ex-Japan captured US$ 479 million.
When looking at countries, Taiwan led with US$ 1.8 billion, followed by South Korea with US$ 1.2 billion. Brazil recorded an inflow of US$ 768 million, up from the previous week, despite holidays during the period. Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar also had significant inflows. On the negative side, India saw an outflow of US$ 417 million, while Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines also ended in the red.
