One of the main things people never touch when talking about the DeFi Summer 2020 is the fact that liquidity mining programs with high yields were launched by different DeFi protocols.

And this played a major role in the TVL that was recorded that year. These programs will also come in the next bull run.

TVL means Total Value Locked. It is a measure of the capital locked inside a DeFi protocol.

The liquidity mining programs rewarded users with the protocols native tokens which improved the TVL of those protocols.
