📰 Crypto Digest for Today • January is packed with events: mass token unlocks (SUI, ENA, Linea, Arbitrum, Ondo, etc.) increase short-term price pressure, but offer entry points for patient investors. • Ethereum has passed a hard fork with increased gas limit — the network has become more scalable, supporting the entire ETH-based DeFi stack in the long term. • Mid-month, Ravencoin halving and major unlocks on Starknet, Arbitrum, and Ondo are expected — this could trigger volatility in altcoins. • On the macro level, the market is watching the Fed meeting and the Davos agenda: a dovish regulatory stance and positive crypto regulation sentiment could reignite a bullish phase.
For now, January is a mix of supply shocks and strong fundamental updates. Those who can read the event calendar and manage risk gain an advantage. #Bitcoin #Ethereum #Altcoins #DeFi #BinanceFeed

Armed Robbery Targets Cryptocurrency Data in France
According to BlockBeats, on January 9, three masked men broke into a residence in Manosque, France, and held a woman at gunpoint, stealing a USB drive containing her partner's cryptocurrency data.
The incident occurred at a home on Cherry Field Path in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region. The assailants threatened the victim with a handgun and slapped her before fleeing with the USB drive. The woman was unharmed and managed to free herself within minutes to report the crime to the police. Local authorities have launched an investigation, with the case being handled by the regional criminal investigation department and the national police.
Last year, Jameson Lopp, Chief Technology Officer of security firm Casa, documented over 70 violent incidents involving cryptocurrency worldwide in his public database. France has emerged as a hotspot for such crimes in Europe, with more than 14 related cases. Cybercrime consultant David Sehyeon told Decrypt that France's relatively high baseline level of criminal activity, coupled with the conspicuous cryptocurrency wealth of entrepreneurs, traders, and public figures, as well as the growing local expertise in digital assets, has created a fertile ground for speculative and organized cryptocurrency-related crimes.
