The Nikkei Index experienced a two-day decline, dropping below the 57,000-point mark. According to RTHK, the index fell by nearly 990 points at its lowest, reaching 56,652 points. It closed at 56,941 points, marking a decrease of 697 points or 1.21%. Despite this downturn, the index has risen nearly 5% over the week, continuing a two-week upward trend.
