Switzerland's Federal Statistical Office reported on Friday that the country's Consumer Price Index (CPI) for January showed a year-on-year increase of 0.1% and a month-on-month decrease of 0.1%. According to Jin10, the report highlighted that declines in electricity, supplementary accommodation, air transport, and seasonal clothing prices contributed to the subdued inflation for the month. Meanwhile, prices for hotels, international travel packages, and motor vehicle insurance saw an uptick. Excluding fresh and seasonal products, energy, and fuel, the core inflation rate rose by 0.1% year-on-year and fell by 0.1% month-on-month. Additionally, the Harmonized Consumer Price Index (HCPI) decreased by 0.1% month-on-month and increased by 0.2% year-on-year.
