HERE IS WHAT'S HAPPENING:
Tariffs brought over $600B in US economy and the main question is not about tariffs here but about how Trump imposed them legally
So he used Internation Emergence Economic Powers Act and Supreme Court already ruled:
- Trade deficits are not a national emergency
- President exceeded authority
- Tariffs may have been an unconstitutional executive action
This means tariffs will almost 100% will be ruled as illegal
After that, this $600B must be returned
Such a process will take not months but maybe even years
That is the real problem that will cause:
- Unclear trade policy
- Companies don't know future import costs
- Government may push new tariffs
- Trade negotiations reopen globally
This is very bearish short and mid-term with huge volatility spike, yields more unpredictably, inflation, etc
All of that, of couse will also bearish on crypto with a huge dip coming and that's also what charts show rn
