Impala Platinum Holdings Limited, a South African company, has announced that its profits for the second half of the year are expected to surge by approximately 400% compared to the same period last year. According to Jin10, the company attributed this improvement to a significant increase in the average selling price of its products. Impala projects earnings to be between 91 billion rand (approximately $7.74 billion) and 94.5 billion rand. Platinum prices nearly doubled in the six months ending December, while palladium prices rose by about 66% during the same period. Both metals continued to rise into early 2026 but have since given back most of their gains amid a broader decline in precious metals last week.
